Maya Training Projects
Explore hands-on practical projects designed to give you real-world experience in Maya Training.
Project 1: Character Modeling and Rigging
Hands-on ProjectModel a complete character (humanoid or stylized) from reference sheets, UV map and texture the character, build a full rig with FK/IK controls, and apply weight painting for clean deformations. Deliver a rigged character ready for animation.
Project 2: Character Animation Shot
Hands-on ProjectAnimate a 5-10 second character performance shot demonstrating core animation principles (weight, anticipation, follow-through, secondary motion). Polish timing and spacing using the Graph Editor and deliver a rendered playblast for portfolio use.
Project 3: Game Asset Production
Hands-on ProjectCreate a game-ready asset (character or environment prop) following AAA pipeline standards: high-poly sculpt, retopology, UV unwrap, baked normal maps, PBR textures in Substance Painter, and export to Unreal Engine or Unity.
Project 4: VFX Shot with Dynamics
Hands-on ProjectCreate a VFX-quality dynamics shot using Maya's nParticle, Bifrost, or nCloth systems. Composite the simulation into a live-action or CG environment using Arnold passes and After Effects. Deliver a final rendered and composited shot for reel inclusion.
